So if you can\u2019t decide, keep reading\u2026<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"where\">Where To Stay In Kuta &amp; Legian? Best Areas For Couples, Families &amp; More<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1754\" src=\"https:\/\/apfcny.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/kuta-beach-bali.jpg\" alt=\"Kuta Beach Bali\" width=\"690\" height=\"518\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/almostlanding-bali.com\/kuta\/\">Kuta<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/almostlanding-bali.com\/legian\/\">Legian<\/a> are located next to each other, along the west coast of Southern Bali. To the north of Legian is Seminyak. To the south of Kuta, you will find Ngurah Rai International Airport.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Although Kuta and Legian may not be my first pick of locations to stay in Bali, there are definitely some reasons you would choose to stay here. But Kuta and Legian is a large area, and some parts are, in my opinion, better than others.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/15.0.3\/72x72\/2705.png\" alt=\"\u2705\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em;max-height: 1em\" \/> <strong data-start=\"145\" data-end=\"182\">Quick Picks \u2013 Best Areas to Stay:<\/strong><br data-start=\"182\" data-end=\"185\" \/>\u2022 <strong data-start=\"187\" data-end=\"202\">South Kuta (Tuban):<\/strong> Best for families &amp; beach access<br data-start=\"235\" data-end=\"238\" \/>\u2022 <strong data-start=\"240\" data-end=\"257\">Central Kuta:<\/strong> Best for nightlife &amp; busy atmosphere<br data-start=\"286\" data-end=\"289\" \/>\u2022 <strong data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"313\">North Kuta:<\/strong> Best for a laid-back vibe &amp; close to Legian<br data-start=\"347\" data-end=\"350\" \/>\u2022 <strong data-start=\"352\" data-end=\"373\">Double Six Beach (North Legian):<\/strong> Best for couples &amp; walking to Seminyak along the beach&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Stay Near The Beach<\/h3>\n<p>So where\u2019s the best place to stay near Kuta Beach or in Legian Bali? If you can, stay either on the beach or not too far from it. Here you will get a sense of more space and openness than some of the smaller, busier streets. You will also be able to easily start and end your day by the beach, which will give you a relaxing element to your stay. Here you can walk to many of the restaurants, shops and other things to do in Kuta &amp; Legian.<\/p>\n<p>The main roads in Kuta and Legian are Jalan Kartika, Jalan Pantai Kuta, Jalan Legian Kaja and Jalan Raya Seminyak. If possible, avoid staying any further inland than these streets, so you can reach the beach and restaurants easily.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1755\" src=\"https:\/\/apfcny.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/kuta-boardwalk-kuta-beach.jpg\" alt=\"Kuta Boardwalk Kuta Beach\" width=\"690\" height=\"518\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Best Areas In Kuta<\/h3>\n<p>South Kuta (<a href=\"https:\/\/almostlanding-bali.com\/tuban\/\">Tuban Beach<\/a>) is a great area for families, with some great resorts, and Waterbom Bali (water park) and Discovery Mall nearby.<\/p>\n<p>South Kuta also has one of the prettiest stretches of beach in this area, just south of the Kuta boardwalk along the beach. It&#8217;s one of the only areas of Kuta where hotels can be completely beachfront, as most other areas there will be a main road between the hotel and the beach.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>South Kuta has its perks, but otherwise, I would aim to stay as north as possible, as central Kuta can be quite hectic. So if staying in Kuta, south Kuta or North Kuta (closer to Legian) would be the best place.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Staying Close To Seminyak<\/h3>\n<p>Although you&#8217;re staying in Kuta or Legian, you may still find yourself wanting to shop and <a href=\"https:\/\/almostlanding-bali.com\/best-restaurants-in-seminyak\/\">eat in Seminyak<\/a>. Although it looks close on a map, if you need to get a taxi, there are certain times when the traffic can get heavy and it can take longer than you would expect.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking to stay as close to Seminyak as possible, then the area around Double Six Beach is the most northern part of Legian, where it borders Seminyak Beach. This way, you could walk along the beach to reach other parts of Seminyak.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"worth\">Is It Worth Staying In Kuta &amp; Legian?<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1756\" src=\"https:\/\/apfcny.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/legian-beach-bali.jpg\" alt=\"Legian Beach Bali\" width=\"690\" height=\"920\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Well, that depends on you and what you&#8217;re looking to get from your Bali Holiday. Although they are not my favourite areas to stay, I have enjoyed staying there.<\/p>\n<p>These areas may be busy and somewhat over-developed, but because they were developed a long time before places like <a href=\"https:\/\/almostlanding-bali.com\/where-to-stay-in-canggu\/\">Canggu<\/a>, they almost give me a nostalgic feeling now.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So why stay here?<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;re in a super convenient and central location, near Bali International Airport. They are also right by the beach, which is great for sunsets and learning to surf. It&#8217;s also home to some nice <a href=\"https:\/\/almostlanding-bali.com\/best-beach-clubs-in-bali\/\">beach clubs.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s also a nice boardwalk by the beach, which means you can go for a walk or a run on a nice paved surface, which is not always possible in Bali.<\/p>\n<p>There are plenty of things to do, such as a water park, local markets, a couple of shopping malls (Discovery Shopping Mall and Beachwalk Shopping Center), and affordable restaurants and shops.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It can be a popular spot for backpackers, with plenty of bars and clubs. However, some parts are also great for families too.<\/p>\n<p>And there&#8217;s a great range of accommodation, from more affordable 5-star hotels, family-friendly resorts, 4-star hotels and of course budget hotels too.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So as you can see, there are some great reasons to stay in these areas. If you do decide to stay here, and if it&#8217;s your first time visiting Bali, I would recommend combining it with another location to see a different side of Bali.
